Congratulations to:

Megan Kiester, Group Program Manager, European Rapid Development Team. Megan will work on the Website Development project.

Olger Palma, Finance Manager, Expedia, Inc. Bellevue, Olger will work on Product Development.

Janice Lichtenwaldt, Category Manager, Destination Services, Expedia, Inc. Bellevue. Janice will also work on Product Development.

Dustin Warr, Director, Strategic Accounts, Expedia, Inc. Partner Services Group, Salt Lake City. Dustin will work on Relationship Management.

These five employees will stay at the beautiful Maya Tankah oceanfront property, just 4km from Community Tours Sian Ka’an (CTSK), where they’ll spend two weeks on key projects to help the CTSK business flourish while honoring the beauty and wonder of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere.

And…these folks will be posting regular updates to this blog to tell us all about their experiences with the Mayan people, and the beauty of the world heritage site. Check back for daily updates, starting June 18!

Thanks to all applicants

Last but not least, a sincere thanks to all applicants. The selection process was difficult, because each application we received reflected the passion that so many of our employees have for travel and responsible tourism. We’re confident that this pilot program will allow Expedia, Inc. and the UN Foundation to make a difference for the people of Sian Ka’an, and that it will open the doors to more opportunities with other World Heritage sites.
